Not sure just how much more of this I could take, I was delighted to see that there is at least the odd little bit of news that doesn't concern what it is that makes the darkly brooding Robert Pattinson quite so dark or brooding.
Seems the director of 'The Twilight Saga: New Moon' (to give it its full, ponderous title), Chris Weitz, was keen to respect fans of the book when he made the flick. He took to the net to see what 'Twilight'-lovers did and didn't like.
"I listened to what they have to say by checking in on the internet," admits Weitz. And bless you for it, sir! I'm thinking that such directors as... oh, I don't know... Michael Bay, perhaps, could do with a little concern for the poor bastards who'll be first in line to see their beloved books/cherished childhood toys/etc. brought to cinematic life.
I'm not forgiving him any time soon for the steaming pile of bilge that is the 'Transformers' franchise.
And, finally, I leave you with the curious news that, although talk of a third 'Bridget Jones' movie is all over Tinseltown, and it's now a firmly entrenched conviction that Renee Zellweger will be going the fat-suit route, rather than genuinely gaining Bridge's weight again...
Renee denies the whole thing!
So, what's really up with the new 'Bridget Jones' movie? "I get asked that every single day," laments Zellweger, "and I don't know anything!"
"It's a rumor," she adds. Hopefully she just wants to keep quiet about it for now, but it seems there's a real chance there is no third 'BJ' flick in the works at all.
And, no, Renee assures us, there is not any plan, as far as she knows, to turn the whole thing into a Broadway musical.
That I am thankful for.
