It might be a sad day for super hero fans, and Superman fans in particular, as head of DC Entertainment, Diane Nelson has confirmed that they don't have any plans to expand the Superman franchise just yet.

With a new 'Batman' video game out, and 'Green Lantern' in production, one could only wonder about the possibilities.

"We actually don't have any current plans for Superman. We've obviously done a lot of great things behind the property in our history, and it's a key part of the family, but we don't have current plans behind Superman," Nelson told MTV News.

It will be rather interesting to see if they change their tune after the release of 'Green Lantern', 'Deadpool' and the franchise-rival 'Spiderman'. It seems as though Superman still has huge potential for income, but maybe DC Entertainment knows something that we don't.
