Brad Anderson's popular comic strip 'Marmaduke' is in the process of being turned into a film, and 20th Century Fox has already lined up most of the cast.

The film set to be a mix of live action and CG-animated creatures, like 'Garfield' and 'Alvin and the Chipmunks', and will be directed by Tom Dey.

The production has already wrapped shooting in Canada, and all that remains is for the voice actors to be added to the scenes. The voice cast is shrouded in some secrecy but Amanda Seyfried, soon on SA screens in 'Jennifer's Body', will voice Mazie; Jeremy Piven is to play Bosco; Ron Perlman will portray Chupadogra; George Lopez is Carlos; and Black Eyed Peas singer Fergie will play Jezebel.

'Marmaduke' originated as a comic strip in 1954 and the adventures of a family and their Great Dane was adapted as a cartoon series in 1980.
