Scotland's biggest music festival ended on a low note Sunday after one man died and another was stabbed in unrelated incidents on the airfield where 80 000 revellers were gathered.
At the three-day T in the Park event outside the small town of Kinross, about 20 miles (30 kilometres) north of Edinburgh, a 32-year-old man died in his tent, and was found by friends at around 11.50am (1050 GMT).
Details on the cause of his death were not immediately available, but Festival Director Geoff Ellis said the man had become "ill" and police were not treating it as suspicious.
Police were, meanwhile, searching for two men and the weapon used in what was described as a "horrific" stabbing of a 22-year-old man, who was in intensive care in a nearby hospital.
The man was found at around 12.40am in what Ellis described as an "isolated but serious" incident.
The more than 80 000 festival-goers remained in high spirits, however, as Amy Macdonald treated the crowd to 'Poison Prince' and 'Mr Rock And Roll', while Rage Against The Machine and The Stereophonics also entertained the audience.
Troubled British soul singer Amy Winehouse, meanwhile, belted out hits 'Back to Black', 'Tears Dry on Their Own' and 'You Know I'm No Good', appearing nervous at first before building up confidence as her 50-minute set went on.
She also performed 'Rehab', and a cover of The Zutons' 'Valerie'.
Ellis insisted that despite the death and the stabbing, this year's festival had "been one of the best festivals we've had. The atmosphere has been great and some of the performances have been great."
He added that, in the circumstances, "on the whole the mood has been very good".
T in the Park is in its 15th year and has made its name as one of Europe's top music festivals.
