Barenaked Ladies singer Ed Robertson and three others hiked out of the Canadian wilderness on Sunday afternoon after their float plane crashed near Baptiste Lake in eastern Ontario.
"The Cessna 206 was attempting to take off from the lake when it lost airspeed and entered a wooded area west of the lake," Ontario Provincial Police said in a statement. "All four occupants of the plane were not injured."
Robertson received his pilot's licence in 2005 and hosts a television show documenting his air travels. He was piloting the plane when it crashed, said local media.
Last month, Robertson's bandmate Steven Page made headlines when he was arrested for snorting cocaine in his girlfriend's upstate New York apartment.
