Amy Winehouse raps in a new video posted on the internet.
Footage of the troubled 'Rehab' singer taking part in a jamming session has appeared on video sharing website YouTube under the title 'Amy Winehouse Out-Raps Kanye West for Zalon LOL!!!!!'.
It features the star ? who is currently working on her long-delayed follow-up album to the award-winning 'Back To Black' ? freestyling alongside three other musicians. Many of the lyrics are difficult to distinguish, though at one point Amy can be heard rapping: "Mitch, I know better, I would never wear my hair out."
The clip ends with a close-up shot of Amy saying: "And that's all you get for today. Tune in tomorrow for some more, b***hes."
A spokesperson for Amy insisted the video did not mark a new style for the singer.
"It's not a new direction! It's Amy mucking around with Ade and Zalon her backing singers and Robin, who used to play guitar for Amy, and now plays with Daniel Merriweather.
"Zalon is recording his album for Amy's Lioness label. They often get together for jam sessions, it's purely for fun."
