Bongani Fassie may be parting ways with local hip-hop group Jozi.

Fassie, who is the producer and owner of Fassie Records wants to pull out of record label Ghetto Ruff because he "has had a massive blowout with owner of the stable Lance Stehr", according to DJSbuOnline.

The rumours were sparked two weeks ago when the group launched their latest album at Latinova nightclub in Rosebank and Fassie failed to pitch.

Group members Lesley 'Da Les' Mampe and Ishmael Morabe seemed clueless as to the star's whereabouts.

When quizzed about Fassie's absence on camera by entertainment news channel V-Entertainment, Morabe said: "Bongz is in studio", while Mampe said: "Bongz is sick."

The duo laughed the matter off when they were confronted by the cameraman about their two different stories and said: "Bongz was sick in studio."

A close source told DJSbuOnline: "I was told that Bongani left because he was unhappy with the way Jozi has been marketed, money issues and lack of equal opportunity among the group, and allegedly blames Lance for these woes. Bongz is not happy at all, so he's decided to work solely on Fassie Records."
