Mariah Carey was almost two hours late for her final Las Vegas concert.

The 'Hero' singer had problems with her vocal cords and wanted to be seen by a doctor before she took to the stage at the Pearl Concert Theatre on Saturday night.

One fan said: "We were waiting a long time but it was definitely worth it when she finally appeared on stage."

Following the show, Mariah attended her after-party but waited until Ciara had finished performing before she went in.

A source said: "Ciara was performing as Mariah arrived, so she waited in the car, saying she didn't want to upstage her."

Despite her diva reputation, Mariah recently revealed she suffers from insecurities about her looks because of criticism she received when she was starting out as a pop star.

She said: "I remember starting out and being at a record company at 19 and having someone tell me: 'This is your good side and this is your bad side. Don't ever let anyone take pictures of you from that side. You look terrible from that side,' and so on. It created this whole complex ? like I didn't already have a complex!"
