Beyonce Knowles is to perform at the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards.

The 28-year-old singer has been nominated for ten of the prestigious accolades. She will celebrate by taking to the stage to perform one of her hits, although what she will sing is a closely-guarded secret.

The ceremony is due to take place on January 31 at Los Angeles' Staples Center.

Among the prizes Beyonce has been nominated for is the prestigious Album of the Year prize, for her record 'I Am... Sasha Fierce'.

The record is also up for Best Contemporary R'n'B Album.

Her track 'Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)' could pick up the Song of the Year, Best Female Vocal R'n'B award and Best R'n'B Song.

Beyonce's single 'Halo' received a mention in the Record of the Year category, and is also up for the Best Female Pop Vocal Performance prize. Other nominations she received include Best Traditional R'n'B Vocal Performance list for 'At Last', and Best Rap/Sun Collaboration for 'Ego' with Kanye West.

Other acts due to perform are yet to be announced, although it has been confirmed R'n'B singer Maxwell will take to the stage. He is up for six awards, including Song of the Year for 'Pretty Wings', and Best Male Pop Performance and Best Male R'n'B Performance.
