The Parlotones are supporting Irish rockers Ash on their upcoming UK tour.
Having re-invigorated the live circuit with their gruelling A-Z tour zigzagging across the UK last year, Ash return to some more familiar venues this April and May.
Ash, who formed in Northern Ireland in 1992, have sold 8 million albums worldwide. Their first raucous appearance at Reading Festival was so dangerously over-packed and out of control, security stopped the show twice.
The band have announced what amounts to a creative Everest, the 'A-Z Series': 26 singles in one year, a single for each letter of the alphabet, one release every fortnight. The first taster is free download 'Return Of White Rabbit', a refreshing electro take on the unstoppable Ash formula, it suggests the ambitious new release schedule has revitalised the band.
The unique subscription service run from the band's website and own label 'Atomic Heart Records' is kicked off with ballad 'True Love 1980' and is promptly followed by another Ash innovation, the A to Z Tour.
The Parlotones have recently been nominated for 'Best Rock Song' for their single 'Life Design' and two 'Best Video' nominations for 'Life Design' and 'Push Me To The Floor' at the international songwriting contest held in Nashville, Tennessee.
The band won two MK awards for 'Best Video' and 'Animation' and have just received nominations for three SAMA's for 'Best Rock', 'Record Of The Year' and 'Video Of The Year'.
The Parlotones' brand new white wine, 'Push Me To The Floor', is now available at Woolworths. Their red wine, 'Giant Mistake' is now available at Kaufhoff in Germany. Kaufhofff is one of Germany's major retailers and The Parlotones have signed an exclusive distribution deal with the retailer to coincide with the release of the band's new album, 'Stardust Galaxies', in Germany.
