A fridge is ruining Florence and the Machine's demos for her second album.
The ?Rabbit Heart? singer ? real name Florence Welch - said she is trying hard to record songs for her second album while on the road, but that the constant humming of her tourbus fridge is seeping onto the recordings and ruining them.
She told Absolute Radio DJ Geoff Lloyd: ?We?ve been writing this second album on this tour. But it?s funny ?we don?t have a studio and we have less equipment than we had before and the sound of the refrigerator is constant in almost all of our recordings so we?re kind of going backwards!
?The last album was recorded in a synagogue, this one?s being recorded in various places with lots of humming and clacking sounds in the background.?
Florence also told how her passion for using unconventional materials as instruments gave a rude awakening to the people staying next to her in one hotel.
She added: ?We got in trouble actually, because we tried to record a song in a hotel room and I stupidly decided to use a partition wall as a bass drum which wasn?t very helpful for the people in the room next door!?
Florence will headline the Latitude festival in Suffolk, Southern Britain, this weekend, and added she is excited because it is her first headline slot.
She added: ?I can?t believe someone actually wants me to headline a festival, I?m going to have to up my game!?
