South African "zef-rap" act Die Antwoord have signed a deal with a US record label.
According to boingboing.net, the group have official signed with Interscope Records.
Interscope currently has a stable full of international stars such as Lady Gaga, Eminem, The Black Eyed Peas and U2.
Boingboing.net quotes Die Antwoord's frontman Ninja as saying "And then I kissed [Interscope chairman Jimmy Iovine] on each cheek, because we were making a deal like you do with the mafia.
"Die Antwoord is in business with Interscope now."
Ninja also revealed that the trio's next music video will be helmed by 'District 9' director Neill Blomkamp. There is also a film in the works.
Die Antwoord, which consists of Ninja, Yo-Landi Vi$$er and DJ Hi-Tek, shot to Internet super-stardom after being featured on boingboing.net.
Their videos have over two million hits on YouTube.
