Seth Rogen was too scared to speak the first time he met Adam Sandler.

The 'Knocked Up' star was just 17 years old when he was introduced to the comic legend, and was so awestruck he couldn't wipe the "goofy look" off his face.

The 27-year-old actor said: "I went out to dinner with Adam, Jim Carrey and Garry Shandling, and then we all went to go see 'Gladiator'. I don't think I said one word the entire night. I just kind of had this goofy look on my face."

Over a decade later, nothing has changed. When Seth and Adam reunited to shoot new comedy 'Funny People' earlier this year, the younger man was still mesmerised by his idol.

He explained: "The way I felt the first time we met was still there. Actually, it was reflected in some of the conversations about Adam I had with the other actors like Jonah Hill. We were like: 'It's crazy. He's right over there. Adam knows our names. That's awesome'."
