Mariah Carey's husband has labelled rapper Eminem a "homophobic has-been".

Nick Cannon is furious over Eminem's song 'Bangpipes From Baghdad' which is featured on his latest album 'Relapse'. The song suggests that Carey should break up with him. The two are believed to have dated for a while.

Cannon attacked Eminem on his blog: "Not only has his music not evolved, but also homeboy is still obsessed with my wife. The same female who wouldn't let him get to second base from eight years ago.

"This so-called man has just disrespected and slanderised one of the world's most significantly influential artists, one of the most notable BLACK females of our time, the incredibly cherished, globally loved and world-embraced woman of colour, Mariah Carey."

Cannon went out to challenge Eminem to meet him for a showdown. He said: "Man to man, let's meet up and deal with this like adults. This is my invitation to you, whenever and wherever you like sir. So when you come out of your introverted hiding place and ask your bodyguards if you can go out and play by yourself. I'm here pimp!

The lyrics of the song that got Cannon heated up include: "Nick, you've had your fun/Man, I could use a fresh batch of blood."

Eminem and Carey are rumoured to have dated back in 2001 but Carey has always denied the claims.

In his defence Eminem used an answer-phone message allegedly recorded by Carey in 2005 during his 'Anger Management' concerts.

The message said: "I heard you were getting back with your ex-wife. Why won't you see me? Why won't you call me?"

After the insert Eminem would fake being ill and he would perform the song 'Puke'.
