Whenever Shia LaBeouf is stressed, he blows off steam by going shooting with Steven Spielberg.

The 'Transformers' star, who has had a meteoric rise to fame since supporting roles in 'Constantine' and 'I, Robot', says that going to the firing range with the legendary film director is a big help when the pressures of Hollywood become too much, reports FemaleFirst.

"If I find I'm sinking, I'll get out and paint toilet seats orride dirt bikes or shoot," the 'Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull' explained.

"Firing shotguns really helps me."

The 22-year-old, who has recently also appeared in 'Eagle Eye' and 'Disturbia' believes his time at the rifle range has kept him off drink, drugs and the therapist's couch.

And it allows him to spend time with the man who introduced him to shooting, Spielberg.

"Steven Spielberg takes me when he goes," LaBeouf said.

"He's an Olympic shot. The hand-eye co-ordination of that man is unlike anything I've ever seen. If he weren't a great director, he could be one of our greatest snipers".
