Canadian singer Celine Dion's pregnancy has ended in a miscarriage, but she and her husband aim to try again to have a second child, her spokeswoman said on Wednesday.

The pregnancy that Dion announced in mid-August ended 10 days later in miscarriage, her spokeswoman Francine Chaloult said.

Dion (41) and husband Rene Angelil (67) tried again last month to become pregnant, but failed. They are to head to New York next weekend for a third try with artificial insemination.

In March, Dion had announced an 18-month break from performing to focus on having a child. She and Angelil have an eight-year-old son, Rene-Charles.
