Bill Cosby is the latest victim of a celebrity death hoax.
Rumours that the comedian has died have been spreading on the internet, and although the truth hasn't yet been officially confirmed he is still scheduled to perform at a learning centre on March 13.
Cosby allegedly passed out in his chair around midnight on February 6 while he was watching TV in his home. According to reports, his wife Camille Cosby called 911 after he had difficulty breathing.
According to the rumours Cosby was taken to the "Baystate Franklin Medical Centre" where he apparently had a heart attack.
Reliable news sources state that the death reports are just a rumour although it has been suggested that Cosby is still alive but was being kept under observation at the medical centre.
The rumours have reportedly caused great concern to Cosby's close associates and friends.
Hollywood actor Johnny Depp was also a victim of an internet hoax death recently. Fakers even created a false CNN report that Depp had died, along with a photo of the car he allegedly crashed in.
Cosby starred in the 1960's action show 'I Spy' before launching a successful stand-up comedy career. He also created the educational series 'Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids' which was about a young group of friends who grew up in city.
In the 1980s, he produced and starred in the hit TV series 'The Cosby Show' for which he is still best known.
