David Hasselhoff's daughters want him and his wife to attend a couples' rehab.

David has battled a long-standing addiction to alcohol and was hospitalised over the recent Thanksgiving holiday after reportedly suffering a seizure at home. The actor is believed to have been drinking and it was his 17-year-old daughter Hayley who summoned emergency services to help him.

Around the same time, David's ex-wife Pamela Bach was arrested for Driving Under the Influence (DUI). She was booked, and is due in court on December 24. Pamela attends regular Alcoholics Anonymous meetings.

David and Pamela's daughter Hayley and 19-year-old Taylor Ann have reportedly begged their parents to get professional help. They are keen for them to enter a treatment facility in the New Year, and believe they have more chance of succeeding if they go together.

"They think the peer pressure of David and Pamela getting help together might work," a source told National Enquirer magazine. "Hayley and Taylor Ann told their mom and dad that they loved them and wanted them to stay alive and well. They said that they were fed up with their drinking and how all their lives are being ruined."

The girls are said to have told their parents the "greatest Christmas gift" they could have would be for them to stop drinking. David and Pamela are now considering checking into rehab in early 2010.

The source explained: "Their whole family knows it's an uphill battle, but Hayley and Taylor Ann believe they may have finally found the right formula - togetherness!"

Shortly after David's latest hospitalisation, Pamela asked his fans to encourage him to seek help. "We want our lives to be different, but nothing we have done has brought about change. We ask David's fans, supporters and handlers to take swift action to save this wonderful man's life," she said.
