Sean Penn and Robin Wright Penn have given their marriage another chance, calling off the divorce proceedings instigated in December.
The couple, who have been married since 1996, applied to dismiss the divorce petition on Tuesday in the Marin County Superior Court, in San Francisco.
The divorce hearing was due to take place later in April.
Rumours of the couple's reunion surfaced after they attended the Berkley, California concert of Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder.
Vedder dedicated a song during the show to a "very special couple", and Penn later went up on stage to wish his 43-year-old wife a happy birthday.
The couple met while filming 'State Of Grace' in 1990 and have a teen daughter (Dylan Frances) and son (Hopper Jack).
Citing irreconcilable differences, the actress best known for her role in 'Forest Gump', filed for divorce on 21 December.
