Well-known TV presenter Vuyo Mbuli has admitted to being at another woman's house late on Monday night for "personal reasons", but denies assaulting her fiancee.

Pat Legwabe claims he arrived on Monday night to find his fiancee, Thabisa Nyamakazi, in her underwear and the 'Morning Live' anchor "putting on his shirt".

"Vuyo wanted to get out quickly," Legwabe told The Times. "I tried to stop him and he hit me with a vase".

Mbuli then allegedly fled, and Legwabe went directly from the doctor to the Johannesburg Central police station, where he laid a charge of assault with the intent to inflict grievous bodily harm against Mbuli.

The case was then transferred to the Mondeor police station.

Mondeor Police Station Inspector Nokulunga Mahonga told The Times: "I cannot say when it [the arrest] will happen, but it will."

Meanwhile, Mbuli claims that he does not know how Legwabe was injured, and said that Legwabe was the aggressive one.

"He grabbed me by the shirt and said 'I'm going to f***ing kill you'," Mbuli said. He also claimed that Legwabe was the one who became violent, reports Beeld.

Mbuli has also denied that he was having an affair, and told The Times "I'm still married".

He will meet with the investigating officer today to discuss the charge.
