Charlize Theron loves discount shoes.

The Hollywood star was recently spotted footwear shopping with her mother at Barneys New York in Beverly Hills. Although the actress has millions in the bank, she didn't purchase anything as she was adamant the shoes would be available cheaper on the internet.

"Charlize was just jotting down model numbers and prices on pieces of paper so she could go home and order them online at discount," a source said.

"The salespeople got annoyed after bringing out pair after pair and not getting the sale."

Charlize's love of footwear has been well documented. It was recently reported she bought 27 pairs in one day as she couldn't decide which shoes she liked the best.

"Charlize bought 27 pairs of shoes and boots, many costing over $1,000 a pair," a source said.

"The least expensive pair she bought was just over $500."

The Hollywood star has also designed her own range with TOMS shoes, with proceeds going to the Charlize Theron Africa Outreach Project. The organisation aims to help improve the lives of high school leavers in South Africa.
