It?s time for beaches and parties as the summer sun is here to stay for at least the next 14 weeks. This means the launch of the Cape Town Summer Campaign. The 14-week campaign aims to inform Capetonians and visitors to the Mother City of anything and everything to do whilst visiting Cape Town during the summer months ? the only summer campaign that is impartial and open to anyone to participate.

The campaign will be launched on the 27th of November at the Kenilworth Racecourse where you can enjoy great entertainment in a stunning setting with some of Cape Town?s coolest people.

To craft a perfect summer ambience is a live performance by Coda, one of South Africa?s hottest fusion bands around. You?ll find your feet tingling with the dance-evoking groove of Coda?s unique and distinctive sound that has captivated audiences both locally and internationally.

Added to the line up of great entertainment expect to see the fun and rhythmic Diski dance, which is the official dance of the 2010 FIFA World Cup. The word Diski is the South African township lingo for "soccer" and the Diski dance is a fun and easy dance that comprises of a series of choreographed soccer moves. It?s innately African and it?s a celebratory dance that spurs the South African in you.

In line with the recent soccer fever there will be the Cape Town Summer 5-a-side corporate soccer challenge, brought to you by Cape Town Tourism as part of their Live it! Love it! Louder! Campaign. Eight corporate teams will be showing off their talent in the spirit of the single biggest soccer event heading for South Africa next year.

All proceeds of the tournament will go to the Read and Write literacy programme which helps children with learning disabilities and those needing a little extra assistance with reading, comprehending and writing the art of the English Language.

Entrance is and and activities start at 15h00 with the soccer challenge and will run till late.
