There are a fleet of cars that have made their mark in Hollywood, some with only a brief appearance on the screen. Love them or hate them, they have generated cult followings and much debate about their driving appeal - or lack of it.
We give you our Top Ten pick of film cars. Wade into the debate on our comments box below or send us your selection if you think you could make a better pick.

Audi R8
The Audi R8 driven by Robert Downy Junior's character in Iron Man must rank as one of the best uses of a sports car on film. No rocket boosters, no gimmicks, just power and appeal served straight up.

BMW 750iL (1995-2001)
James Bond's BMW 7 Series from Tomorrow Never Dies was not the most powerful or outrageously styled of film cars. But, we ask, what car has body armour, electrified skin to zap intruders, tyre-piercing caltrops and can be driven remotely via your cellphone?

Ferrari 250 GT (1961)
If you were about 16 years old, had a driver's licence and access to a Ferrari 250 GT, wouldn't you make the most of it? That's exactly what Ferris Bueller did in Ferris Bueller's Day Off.
The exchange between Ferris and his friend Cameron explains it all:
Cameron: The 1961 Ferrari 250GT California. Less than a hundred were made. My father spent three years restoring this car. It is his love, it is his passion.
Ferris: It is his fault he didn't lock the garage.

Mystery Machine
The Scooby Doo gang's Mystery Machine has been recreated in many incarnations. We like it because it's goofy, laid back, and there's a lot of room in there for ...er... research.
