Suzuki is hauling out its big guns at the 2006 Paris Motor Show (September 28 to October 15) with the Splash concept car and the European launch of the new Swift range.

The flagship model of the new Swift range, the European specification Swift Sport based on the three-door Swift, will have its launch at the show. It is produced at Magyar Suzuki Corporation in Hungary and European sales will start in third quarter.

Suzuki will also exhibit project ?Splash? which is a ?clinic model? for another all-new vehicle which will follow the Swift, Grand Vitara, and SX4 onto the market.

Splash is a multipurpose vehicle with the Swift's platform (wheelbase 2360mm) , allowing for "excellent performance and driveability", reckon Suzuki.

With its relatively tall body (dimensions: 3780mm long, 1780mm wide, 1650mm high), the concept offers a comfortable cabin with seating for five.

Power comes from an all-new 1.2-litre 16-valve, four-cylinder petrol engine that's coupled to a four-speed automatic transmission.
