German "tuning house" Motoren Technik Mayer (MTM ) has sprinkled some magic dust over the Audi TT-RS to produce an MTM version of the sport car with a tweaked five-cylinder inline engine.
MTM's Audi Ur-Quattro S1 modification, which also uses the five-cylinder engine, can lap the Hockenheimring almost as fast as the Porsche Armada. MTM's media statement reminds that this car "is still being good for best lap timing". Nothing beats German engineering speak.
The company says that the modified TT-RS has aerodynamic styling based on the Ur-Quattro and produces maximum power of 312kW and 560Nm of torque. This was achieved by adjusting the engine control unit, changing the throttle valves and using new middle- and end-pipes in the exhaust system.
The MTM TT-RS can be ordered in 3 "power" versions: the maximum 312kW or a slightly tamer 300kW and 296kW. MTM sport alloys in 19- or 20-inch sizes and lowered suspension form part of the options in the vehicle?s kit.
The top-end option provides a TT-RS with a claimed top speed of 296km/h and a 0-100 km/h time of just 4.2 seconds. Eight-pot calipers on 380mm discs provide the stopping power.
If you're not an Audi fan, don't despair. MTM specialize in a range of vehicles and have something to offer for Audi, VW, Seat, Skoda, Bentley, Lamborghini, KTM, Spyker and Porsche.
